Maddison Ann Gray
OVERBROOK — Maddison Ann Gray, 7, Overbrook, was killed in an automobile accident in Franklin County on Monday, June 6, 2005.
She was born Oct. 12, 1997, in Parkersburg, W.Va., the daughter of Clarence Aldon "Bud” Gray and Lisa Stadler-Reece, DVM. She moved with her family to the Ottawa and Appanoose area from Ohio four years ago. She was a second grade student at Appanoose Grade School.
Maddison was a member of Michigan Valley United Methodist Church and the Rambling Ranchers 4-H Club of Ottawa.
Survivors include her mother, Lisa Stadler-Reece, DVM, of the home; her father, Clarence Aldon "Bud” Gray, Ottawa; grandparents, David G. and Phyllis Stadler, Rossville, Jean Gray, Sistersville, W. Va , and Victor and Dorothy Reece, Overbrook; a great-grandmother, Thora V. Stadler, Alamogordo, N.M.; two brothers, Matthew A. Gray and Weston W. Reece, both of the home; three sisters, Audrey C. Reece and Autumn G. Reece, both of the home, and Rebecca Gray, Belpre, Ohio; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Maddison was preceded in death by her grandfather, Clarence A. Gray Sr.
A funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Grace Community Church in Overbrook with pastors Bill Driver and Scott Dickinson officiating. Burial will be in Appanoose Cemetery. Friends may pay respects to Maddison after 4 p.m. today at Dengel & Son Mortuary in Ottawa, where the family will meet with friends from 7 to 8 p.m.
The family suggests memorial contribution to Appanoose School and sent in care of the mortuary, 235 S. Hickory, Ottawa, Kan. 66067.
