Ruth A. Gresser
Ruth A. Gresser, 87, died Nov. 18, 2007, at her rural Rossville home. Mrs. Gresser was a homemaker. She was born Feb. 5, 1920, in Eccles, Mo., the daughter of Walter B. and Grace Wasson McCurry. She graduat¬ed from high school in Salisbury, Mo., and from Missouri Business College in Jefferson City, Mo.

She married Joe M. Gresser on June 13, 1942, in Chapel Hill, N.C. They moved to Rossville in October 1945. Mr. Gresser died May 18, 1990. She was also preceded in death by an infant son Robert Gresser in August 1946. Mrs. Gresser was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Topeka.

Survivors include a son, Michael Gresser of Ojai, Calif.; two daughters, Carolyn Gresser of Rossville and Catherine Barber of Colorado Springs, Co.; two grandchildren; and a great- grandson.

Funeral services were held Nov. 23 at Piper Funeral Home in St. Marys. Memorial contributions may be made to the Heartland Home Health and Hospice and sent in care of the funeral home. Online condolences may be sent to www.piperfuneralhome.com.
