Obituary- Griswold, Nettie 1

Nettie Griswold, 86, of Rossville, Dies
Mrs. Nettie Griswold, 86, of Rossville died Thursday morning in a Topeka hospital. She had suffered a cerebral hemorrhage Wednesday at her home.
The daughter of Otis and Clarissa Howard, she was born July 22, 1877, at South Shaftbury, VT., and moved with her parents to Rossville in 1889.
After attending Kansas State Teachers College at Emporia, she taught school and gave music lessons.
Mrs. Griswold was a member of the Rossville Methodist Church, where she was choir director for many years.
Her husband, E. G. Griswold, died June 21, 1963.
She is survived by two sons, Leslie H. Griswold of Shawnee, Okla., and Sherwin B. Griswold of Newton, Kan.; a daughter, Mrs. Wayne Lyon of Newton; and eight grandchildren.
Services will be at 3:30 p.m. Saturday in the Rossville Methodist Church with burial in the Rossville Cemetery.
The Parker Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
