Obituary- Ford, Benjamin
Benjamin Ford
Benjamin Ford, 84, of 1402 Eugene Street, North Topeka, died late Friday after an extended illness.
He was born on the homestead of his parents southwest of Rossville, January 16, 1869, and had lived in Rossville, Delia and Topeka most of his life.
He was a member of the Rossville Methodist Church, the Modern Woodmen of America and the Masonic Lodge.
He’s survived by one daughter, Mrs. Lillian Davis, 5027 West Tenth, Topeka; three sons, Benjamin L. of the home; Carl F. Ford of National City, California; and Harold S. Ford, Winfield, Kansas; three sisters, Mrs. Ida James, Mrs. Lula James and Mrs. Emma Davis, all of Rossville. He had eleven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. Monday at the Rossville Methodist Church with Rev. Don Jones officiating. Burial was in the Rossville Cemetery.
McMichael Memorial Home had charge of the services.
