Obituary- Haag, Helen

Helen Haag
HOLTON — Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Mercer Funeral Home here for Mrs. Helen Haag, 83, Holton, who died in a hospital here Thursday.

She was born Sept. 2, 1893, at Circleville, the daughter of Loren and Lula Davis Elliott, and had been a Jackson County resident all her life. She was employed at the Slimaker dress factory before retiring.

She was a member of the First Methodist Church here.

She was married to Harmon Haag Oct. 14, 1914, in Holton. He died in 1954. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Donna Lou Houghton, in 1965.

Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Edward Eakin, Delia; one sister, Mrs. Myrel Jane Wilson, 1828 High, Topeka; and eight grandchildren.

Burial will be in Holton Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the heart monitor fund at Holton Hospital and sent in care of the Kansas State Bank here. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. today at the Mercer Funeral Home.
