Obituary- Hadl, Dorene

Jane Hadl I
LAWRENCE — Services will be at 10 a.m. today in Rumsey Funeral Home here for Dorene Jane Hadl, 58, rural Lawrence. She died Wednesday, Aug. 14, 1991, at home after a long illness.

Mrs. Hadl started working at Hillcrest Bowling Lanes in 1968 and later worked at Royal Lanes as well. She also sold Avon Products.

She was born Sept. 17, 1932, at Della, the daughter of Asa Alfred and Hazel Iva Wilson Murren. She attended high school at Berryton.

Mrs. Hadl was baptized in the Methodist Church at Richland. She was a member of Ladies Auxiliary to Alford-Clarke Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 852 and Women’s Bowling Association of Lawrence.

She was married to LaVern Eugene Hadl Sept. 3, 1950, at Richland. He survives.

Other survivors include three daughters, Cindy Quy, Bakersfield, Calif., Karla Peek, Lawrence, and Donneta Hadl, Perry; a son, Kim L. Hadl, Lawrence; a sister, Doloris Gardner, Midwest City, Okla.; two brothers, Asa D. Murren, Topeka, and Leroy Murren, Overbrook; and three grandchildren.

Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery at Lawrence. Mrs. Hadl will lie in state until service time today at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Douglas County Visiting Nurses Association.
