Obituary- Hafner, Agnes

Mrs. Agnes T. Hafner
Mrs. Agnes T. Hafner, 63, 1505 N. Kansas, died Monday, Nov. 25, at her home.

Mrs. Hafner worked for the State of Kansas as a clerk in the motor vehicle department before she retired earlier this year.

She was born May 17, 1922, at Delia, the daughter of Valentine and Elizabeth Bravence Lysek. She moved to Topeka from the Delia area 45 years ago.

She was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church.

She was married to Lawrence G. Hafner June 16, 1948, in Topeka. He survives.

Other survivors include a son, Lawrence D. Hafner, Topeka; two daughters, Jeanette North, Topeka, and Joyce Scheckel, Salina; three sisters, Elsie Rezac, St. Marys, and Lorraine Lysek and Josephine Koci, both of Topeka; and seven grandchildren.

Mass of Christian burial will be at noon Wednesday in St. Joseph’s Catholic Church. Burial will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery. Mrs. Hafner will lie in state from 2 to 9 p.m. today at Brennan Funeral Home, where a parish rosary will be at 6:30 p.m.
