Lawrence G. Hafner
Lawrence George Hafner, 63, of Topeka died Thursday, July 31, at a Topeka hospital.

Mr. Hafner was a warehouseman for Adams Business Forms for 43 years.

He was born February 5, 1923, in Topeka, the son of John and Maggie Jacob Hafner. He has been a lifetime resident of Topeka.

Mr. Hafner was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church.

He was married to Agnes T. Lysek June 16, 1948, in Topeka. She died November 25, 1985.

Survivors include a son, Lawrence D. Hafner, Topeka; two daughters, Jeanette North, Topeka, and Joyce Scheckel, Salina; two brothers, Raymond Hafner and Valentine Hafner, both of Topeka; five sisters, Marcella Hertlein, Ruth Gartner, Margaret Mauer, Helen Dechand and Annie Mauer, all of Topeka; and seven grandchildren.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Burial will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery. Mr. Hafner will lie in state at the Brennan Funeral Home from 2 to 9 p.m. today where the family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. A Parish Rosary will be recited at the funeral home at 6:30 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 2913 Plass Court, Topeka 66611.
