Joseph S. Frederick, 71, Rossville died Thursday, April 19, 1990, in Phoenix, Ariz., where he was on vacation.
Mr. Frederick was an assembly line worker at Allis Chalmers in Topeka until he retired. He also had worked in the car shop at Santa Fe Railroad and had farmed.
He was born Oct. 5, 1918, in St. Marys, the son of Henry and Sophia Siegar Frederick.
Mr. Frederick was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic church in Delia and the Z.C.BJ. Lodge in Rossville.
He was married to Marie Hladky on Oct. 22, 1940, in Delia. She survives. A son, Donald Frederick, died in 1966.
Other survivors include two daughters, Marie Hamon, Topeka, and Iona Frederick, Rossville; a son, Joseph L. Frederick, Topeka; a brother, Ray Frederick, Overland Park; a sister, Bernadette Schumacher, Dallas; and six grandchil¬dren.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Delia. Burial will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made the American Heart Association. Verschelden Funeral Chapel, St. Marys is in charge of arrangements.
