Obituary- Bagwell, Samuel

S.R. Bagwell
Samuel Reece Bagwell died at the Methodist Home for the Aged, Thursday afternoon, Dec. 1. He had observed his 82nd birthday on November 26th.

Mr. Bagwell was born near Independence, Va., and lived at Meriam, just prior to entering the home in 1945. In the late 90’s and the turn of the century he was in the grain business in Rossville at the old stone elevator, now the site of the Sunra Locker plant.

His survivors include a sister-in-law Mrs. E. M. Cockrell, and a niece, Mrs. E. G. Robertson, both of 201 Greenwood, Topeka.

Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon in the Methodist Home, with burial in Mt Hope Abbey
