Obituary- Harding, Rosetta

Mrs. J. Harding At Rest
Mrs. Rose Harding, wife of J. Harding died last Monday even-ing at six o'clock after an illness of only a few days. Her death was a shock to the people of Rossville as well as her own family, as her illness was not thought to be of a dangerous nature. Mrs. Harding took down last week with a severe attack of la grippe and she was apparently recoverŽing from its attack, until Monday evening when Mr. Harding beŽcame alarmed at her condition and sent for a physician. Mrs. Harding quietly passed away before help arrived. Mrs. Harding has always been a prominent worker of tire Christian church of Rossville, and her loss will be keenly felt in the activities of its members as well as by a host of friends who have known her for the many years she has lived here. To her family she was especially devoted and the sympathy of the entire community goes out to them in their great loss. The funeral was held Wednesday afternoon at the Christian church, conducted by Rev. Mr. Lyons, of Topeka, and interment made in the Rossville cemetery.

OBITUARY
Rosetta Harding was born in Wood county, Virginia, January 6, 1860, being 54 years, 6 days old at the time of her death. The early part of her life was spent in Wirt county, West Virginia. When 19 years old her father moved with his family to ManhatŽtan, Kansas, where they remained for a few years, and later moved to Rossville. Her father, Asbe Montgomery and mother, Mrs. Angeline Montgomery and three brothers, G.C., Evert and Alexander Montgomery have preceded her to the grave. Early in life Mrs. Harding united with the Christian church and her whole life has been spent in endeavorŽing to live according to its teachŽings. Mrs. Harding was laid to rest by the side of two children, who died in infancy. She is surŽvived by her husband, J. Harding,
one son, Roy Harding, two daughters Miss Hazel Harding and Mrs.
John Peterson, of Topeka, and one brother Scott Easdale and two half-sisters who reside in West Virginia.
