Obituary- Baillod, Wallace 2

And gave directions concerning the funeral arrangements. He had taken a special liking to Reverend Rutledge who had visited him during his sickness and requested that he preach the funeral sermon and that the service be held in the Methodist church.

The young people of the Youngtown neighborhood, where he had spent most of the years of his life are deeply touched by his passing and the influence of his splendid life cannot be measured.

He was born at Rossville, Kansas, Feb 21, 1899. He was a member of the Presbyterian church having joined in Kansas City. He leaves the father and mother, two brothers, grandpa and grandma Rush, who make their home with their daughter, Mrs. Baillod, numerous relatives and a great number of close friends.

The funeral service will be held at the Methodist church this afternoon, and interment in the cemetery at Youngtown.

While he was taken away in the very opening days of promise, yet his life was a real success. He has but gone to a land of endless opportunities, and unbroken joy. –Marion, Kan. Record

The Baillod family are well remembered here, having lived in the little cottage south of J.W. Miller’s for many years. Mr. Baillod was engineer and mill man for J.C. Bradley. Their many Rossville friends are very sorry to learn of the loss of Wallace and extend sympathy to them in their bereavement.
