Obituary- Gardner, Wyatt 1

Wyatt R. Gardner
Wyatt R. Gardner, 72, died Friday, October 12, 1990, at a Midwest City hospital. He was formerly of Topeka. He was a retired federal employee and had worked several years at Tinker Air Force Base.

Mr. Gardner was born January 31, 1918, in Delia, the son of William H. and Mary Ellen Winfrey Gardner. He attended Delia schools.

He served during World War II, and was a member of the Albert Neese Masonic Lodge No. 248 at Richland, Ks., Philip Billard Post No. 1650 of the Veterans of Foreign Wars in Topeka, and the Disabled American Veterans Post in Oklahoma.

He was married to Dolores Murren February 19, 1947, in Topeka. She survives. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Renee Lynn Gardner; three sisters and one brother.

Other survivors include a sister, Mary G. Hoover, St. Joseph, Mo.; three brother, Ivan W. Gardner, Raymore, Mo., Donald E. Gardner, Bellingham, Wash., Clyde E. Gardner, Everett, Wash.; and several nieces and nephews.

Services were at 10 a.m. Tuesday, October 16, at Tibbitts-Griffin Funeral Chapel in Topeka. Burial was at West Lawn Memorial Gardens in Topeka.

MIDWEST CITY, Okla. — Wyatt R. Gardner, 72, of Midwest City, formerly of Topeka, Kan., died Friday, Oct. 12, 1990, at a Midwest City hospital.

Mr. Gardner was a retired federal employee. He had worked several years at Tinker Air Force Base.

He was married to Doloris I. Murren on Feb. 19, 1947, in Topeka. She survives.

Other survivors include three brothers, Ivan Gardner, Raymore, Mo., Eugene Gardner, Bellingham, Wash., and Clyde Gardner, Everett, Wash.; and a sister, Gertrude Hoover, St. Joseph, Mo.

Mr. Gardner was preceded in death by a daughter, Renee Lynn Gardner.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Tibbitts-Griffin Funeral Chapel in Topeka. Burial will be at West Lawn Memorial Gardens in Topeka.

Mr. Gardner will lie in state after 5 p.m. today at the funeral chapel, where relatives and friends will meet from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Monday.
