Obituary- Hayden, Fatina

Nail Wound Proves Fatal

Fatina Hayden, 13-year-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jesse L. Hayden, living on route 1, Delia, died in Christ hospital, Topeka, last Thursda afternoon from lockjaw caused by stepping on a nail the Friday previous.

When she stepped on the nail, home remedies were applied, and her condition was not regarded as serious until her jaws locked Thursday morning. She was taken to Topeka in the Conwell ambulance early in the afternoon and she died about a half hour after her arrival.
