Charles H. Hladky, Jr.
Charles H. Hladky, Jr., 83, Perry, died Thursday, March 11, 1993, at his home.

Mr. Hladky farmed near Perry and had worked at the Veterans Administration hospital in Topeka. He was an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II.

He was born July 6, 1909, in Delia, the son of Charles H. and Anna Macha Hladky, Sr.

Mr. Hladky was a member of St. Theresa’s Catholic Church in Perry and Knights of Columbus Council No. 4254 and Philip Billard Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 1650.

He was married to Mary Noll May 4, 1957, in Most Pure Heart of Mary Catholic Church, Topeka. She survives.

Other survivors include five sisters, Margaret Hladky, Elsie
Hladky, Mildred Becher and Betty Kaberline, all of Topeka, and Maxine Grimes, Norfolk, Va.; three brothers, Loren Hladky and Donald Hladky, both of Topeka, and Leo Hladky, Elyria, Ohio.

Mass of Christian Burial was at 10 a.m. Tuesday (today) in St. Theresa’s Catholic Church, Perry. Military graveside services were conducted by Philip Billard VFW Post No. 1650 in Mount Calvary Cemetery near Newman. A rosary was recited by the Knights of Columbus Council No. 4254 at 6 p.m., and by the Daughters of Isabella Little Flower Circle No. 503 at 6:30, and a parish prayer service at 7 p.m. Monday, at Brennan Funeral Home, Topeka.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or to St. Theresa’s Church.
