Mrs. Sandra A. Hoferer
ST. MARYS - Mrs. Sandra A. Hoferer, 39, St. Marys, died Saturday, March 7, at her home. She was diabetic.

Mrs. Hoferer was a registered nurse. She had previously worked at the Kansas City Blood Bank and St. Francis Hospital in Topeka and most recently worked at St. Marys Manor and for Unified School District No. 321 at St. Marys.

She was born Aug. 23, 1947, at Topeka, the daughter of Ed and Mary Hobart Macha. She was graduated from Providence Hospital in Kansas City, Kan.

Mrs. Hoferer was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in St. Marys.

She was married to Herbert N. Green in 1969 at Kansas City, Kan. He died in 1970. She was married to Robert Hoferer Jr., May 6, 1972. They were divorced.

Survivors include two daughters, Karen Green and Rebecca Hoferer, both of the home; her parents, Ed and Mary Macha, Delia; and five brothers, Wayne Macha, Ramona, Calif., Don Macha, Rossville, Ken Macha, Topeka, Bill Macha, Santee, Calif., and Chuck Macha, Carlsbad, Calif.

Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church here. Burial will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery at St. Marys. Mrs. Hoferer will lie in state after 10 a.m. Monday at Verschelden Funeral Home in St. Marys where a rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Monday. Memorial contributions may be made to American Diabetes Association.
