Obituary- Holz, Anne

MRS. ANN G. HOLZ
Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at Verschelden Funeral Home in St. Marys for Mrs. Ann G. Holz, 60, St. Marys, who was found dead Saturday afternoon, November 8, 1975, sitting in her car west of Chelsea Drive and W. 33rd Street on Topeka’s far southwest side.

Dr. W. W. Scamman, deputy district coroner who performed an autopsy Sunday, said she died of a heart ailment.

Police said a card found in the woman’s possession identified her as a diabetic. Authorities said she also had a heart ailment. They said medication also was found in her possession.

Police said the body was discovered by Scott Young, 14, 5330 W. 31st, while he was riding a motorcycle along the road.

She was born June 25, 1915 at Junction City where she spent her childhood. She lived in the Rossville and St. Marys communities since 1949.

She formerly worked for the telephone company at Rossville, St. Marys and Silver Lake, and was head operator at St. Marys from 1951 to 1959. She later was a cook at St. Marys College and St. Marys Manor.

Mrs. Holz, the former Ann Cullen, was married to William Holz March 25, 1949, at Holton. He died October 6, 1975.

A daughter, Mrs. Melissa Champion, 3366 Mayo, Topeka, survives.

Burial will be in Rossville Cemetery. Casket bearers are Jerry Perry, Andy Dietz and Greg Daniels, all of Topeka; David Stadler, Rossville; Archie Allen, Eskridge; and Paul Holz, St. Marys.
