Obituary- Banta, Mertie

Mrs. Mertie Banta
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Parker Mortuary tor Mrs. Mertie I. Banta, 96, who died Tuesday at her home, 2408 Clay. She had been ill about three months.
She was born April 18, 1879, at Centerville. Iowa, and lived in the Delia community before she moved to Topeka about 40 years ago. She was a member of the United Methodist Church at Netawaka.
She was married to Floyd Banta March 28, 1900 in Topeka. He died in 1950.
Survivors include six daughters, Mrs. Helen Bonjour, at home, Mrs. Ethel Myers, 506 W 6th, Mrs. Lola Landis, 104 Buchanan, Mrs. Mabel Dibbern, 2112 Lower Silver Lake Road, Mrs. Elsie Graham, Colton, Calif., and Mrs. Lois Brunin, 2212 Duane; 13 grandchildren, 43 great-grandchildren and 16 great-great-grandchildren.
Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.
