Albin Besta Dies At Age 81

Services were at 2:30 p. m. Sunday at Parker Mortuary in Topeka for Albin Besta, 81, of Rossville, who died Thursday in a Topeka hospital after a short illness. Burial was in Rossville Cemetery.

He was born Feb. 29, 1884 at Rossville and spent most of his life in the Rossville community. He was a farmer and was a drayman 25 years before he retired in 1958.

He was married to Teresa Balusek October 12, 1909. She died in February 1960. A son, Ed Besta, died in December 1954.

Survivors include two sons, Albert Besta, Wamego, and William Besta, Topeka; a daughter, Mrs. Lottie Stum, Rossville; a sister, Mrs. Delia Simecka, Rossville; two half-sisters, Mrs. Emial Hladky and Julia Lysek, both of Rossville; a half-brother, Valen Lysek, Delia; 13 grandchildren and several greatgrandchildren.
