Milan J. Hejtmanek
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Parker-Price Mortuary for Milan J. Hejtmanek, 73, Route 2, Delia, who died Sunday, Oct. 9, at a Topeka hospital. He had cancer.

Mr. Hejtmanek was a former member of the Delia Board of Education, the Jackson County Soil Conservation Board and the Jackson County Commission. He was a retired farmer.

He was born Dec. 26, 1909, at Delia, the son of George and Emily Vacek Hejtmanek. He was graduated from the College of Emporia in 1930.

Mr. Hejtmanek was a member and elder of the Presbyterian Church at Delia.

He was a member of Delia Lodge No. 419, AF&AM, and was treasurer and past master of the lodge. He was a member of the Topeka Consistory of Scottish Rite, Amaryllis Chapter No. 321, Order of Eastern Star, at Rossville; York Rite bodies in Holton; the Jackson County Historical Society and the Delia Lions Club.

He was married to Margaret L. Ketchum Dec. 13, 1945, in Topeka. She survives.

Other survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Penny P. Stafford, Tulsa, Okla.; a son, Milan G. Hejtmanek, Cambridge, Mass.; and three grandchildren.

Delia Lodge No. 419, AF&AM, will conduct graveside services at the Czech-Moravian Cemetery at Delia. Memorial contributions may be made to the Presbyterian Church in Delia, 66418. Relatives and friends will meet from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday at the mortuary where Mr. Hejtmanek will lie in state after noon today.


HEJTMANEK, MILAN - age 73 of Route2, Delia, passed away October 9, 1983. Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday in the Parker-Price Chapel with The Rev. William Adair officiating. Delia Lodge No. 419 A F. & A.M. will, conduct graveside services at Czech-Moravian Cemetery at Delia. The family will receive friends from 7-8:30pm Wednesday at The Parker-Price Mortuary. Memorial contributions may be made to The Delia United Presbyterian Church, c/o Don Lacock, Treasurer, Delia, Ks, 66418.
