CARD OF THANKS
I wish to express my deep appreciation for the many, many kindnesses given Milan and me by relatives, friends and neighbors these past six months during the illness of my husband. Special thanks to our minister, Rev. William Adair and to the doctors and nurses of St. Francis Hospital in Topeka. Also, to our son, Milan G. of Cambridge, Massachusetts, and daughter Penny Stafford and family of Tulsa, Oklahoma for their trips here both during the illness and then for the funeral. And appreciation to Alice Marie Hejtmanek of Houston, Texas for her week-long visit during Milan’s illness. And grateful appreciation to the Delia Lions and Masons who made a “work day” in July and hauled away truck loads of dead limbs and debris, remains of the 1982 flood. Also, to Ken Houck and Leonard Dodge for building a ramp at our front door for the wheelchair to go on, to the Delia men who assisted me each day for 11 days in getting Milan to and from radiotherapy treatments in Topeka, to the Delia women who brought us food and meals during that time and even before and during the day of the funeral, and to the women who prepared the meal in the community building in Delia for relatives to be eaten after the funeral — for all these and many more unforgettable kindnesses — my heartfelt gratitude!

Then, my appreciation to the American Legion Post No. 31 in Ross¬ville for use of a wheelchair, hospital bed and bedside table.

Also, for the cards, phone calls, visits, concern, good wishes and prayers given us during Milan’s illness, and then during and since the funeral. My very deep appreciation. How wonderful our friends! And God’s love! Bless each one of you. - Margaret Hejtmanek.
