Obituary- Bahner, Frank
Frank H. ‘Doc’ Bahner
Frank Herman “Doc” Bahner, 88, Topeka, died Tuesday, March 3, at his home.
Mr. Bahner owned and operated
Bahner’s Cafe 38 years before he retired in 1967. He also was a part¬ner in B&W Motors at McPherson from 1946 until 1950.
He was born Sept. 18, 1898, at Delia, a son of Franklin and Emma Seele Bahner. He spent his early life in the Wamego and O’Fallon, Mo., areas.
Mr. Bahner was a life member of Topeka Lodge No. 17, AF&AM, and Topeka Consistory of Scottish Rite.
He was married to Leone White May 10, 1929, at Alma. She survives.
Other survivors include a daugh¬ter, Mrs. Sharon Lynn Morris, Tope¬ka; two sisters, Mrs. Clara Locke and Mrs. Mary Ross, both of Topeka; a brother, George Boehmer, Over¬brook; and three grandchildren.
Services will be at 3:30 p.m. Fri¬day at Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Mr. Bahner will lie in state after noon today at the fu-neral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer’s Disease and Related Disorders Association, Topeka Chapter, P.O. Box 1427, To¬peka, 66601.
