Duane Hutley
Duane F. Hutley, 68, Corvallis, OR, died Saturday, December 22, 2001, at his home.

He was born in Rossville, the son of S.T. and Alice Marstall Hutley.

He graduated from St. Marys High School, and later received a degree in electronics from DeVry Technical Institute, Kansas City, MO.

He worked at Brand S Plywood, Evans Products, Smith TV and Appliance in Philomath, OR, and Mac’s TV in Albany, OR, before opening and operating his own business, Hutley TV Service, in March of 1958. He semi-retired in November of 1996.

He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Corvallis, Corvallis Moose Lodge, and Moose Lodge sponsored bowling teams.

On June 20, 1953, he married Laurine Schuetze in Newbury. Together they lived and worked in Kansas City, Kansas and Missouri until moving with their family to Corvallis in December of 1956. She survives.

Other survivors include two sons, Gene Hutley, Corvallis, OR, and Dave Hutley, Snohomish, WA; three daughters, Jane Hutley, Albany, OR, and Pat Russell and Donna Wells, both of San Diego, CA; three brothers, Robert Hutley, Lebanon, OR, James Hutley, Albany, OR, and Roy Hutley, Prineville, OR; four sisters, Naomi Ames, Corvallis, OR, Doris Ward, Philomath, OR, Betty Trask, Mission, British Columbia, Canada, and Diane Patterson, Colton, WA; his mother, Alice Hutley, Corvallis, OR; and seven grandchildren.

A funeral Mass was celebrated Friday at 10 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Corvallis. Burial was in Oak Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery. The family met with friends and family Thursday at the McHenry Funeral Home.
