Obituary- Irvine, Roland

ROLAND IRVINE OF MANHATTAN DIES AT HOME
MANHATTAN – Roland D. Irvine, 66, Route 5, Manhattan, died Saturday at his home in Pottawatomie County.
He was born Sept. 17, 1901 in the Elbow community in Pottawatomie County and spent most of his life in Pottawatomie County. He had been in the real estate business in the Manhattan area and was a retired farmer.
He was a member of Seven Dolors Catholic Church at Manhattan and the Holy Name Society at the church. He was a past grand knight of Council No. 1832 of Knights of Columbus at Manhattan and was a member of the Fourth Degree. He also was a member of Elks Lodge No. 1185 at Manhattan.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Pauline C. Irvine of the home; two daughters, Sister Mary Roland, Salina and Mrs. J. M. Farley, Denver, Colo.; two sons, Richard R. Irvine, Denver, Colo., and John D. Irvine, Tempe, Ariz.; three brothers, Alex C. Irvine and George A. Irvine, both of Route 5, Manhattan, and Robert B. Irvine, Manhattan, and two grandchildren.
Services will be at 9 a.m. Monday at Seven Dolors Catholic Church at Manhattan. Burial will be in St. Patrick’s Catholic Cemetery in the Elbow community near Manhattan. Rosaries will be recited at 4 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Sunday at Conroy Funeral Home at Manhattan.
