Marcella Marie Johnson
Marcella Marie Johnson, 94, of Topeka passed away August 13, 2011 at St. Marys Hospital.

She was born July 31, 1917 in Delia, Kansas, the daughter of Cyrille and Celina (DeWilde) DeKeyser.

Marcella was a homemaker. She was a member of Mater Dei Assumption Parish.

She married Robert Simecka in Delia, Kansas on October 19, 1935. He predeceased her on August 31,1976. She married David L. Johnson in Topeka, Kansas on November 1, 1971, and he preceded her in death on May 31,1991. She was also predeceased by a son, Robert C. Simecka on March 8, 2010.

Marcella is survived by a son, Richard J. Simecka and wife Isabelle of Topeka, a daughter-in-law Karen Simecka of Overland Park, seven grandchildren, and ten great grandchildren.

Marcella will lie in state at the Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home after 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday where a Parish Rosary will be prayed at 6:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Interment will follow in Topeka Cemetery.
