Obituary- Johnson, Nels

Nels Alexis Johnson

MANHATTAN -- Nels Alexis Johnson, 64, Manhattan, died Friday at a Manhattan hospital.

He was born May 8, 1916, at Leonardville, the son of Charles and Emma O. Carlson Johnson, and had lived at Manhattan for 30 years.

Mr. Johnson was a retired insurance and real estate agent.

He was a member of the First Lutheran Church and Lee Pierson Post No. 1786 of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, both of Manhattan.

Survivors include a sister, Mrs. Lillian Dosh, Wichita, and a brother, Carl W. Johnson, Delia. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at the First Lutheran Church, Manhattan. Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. Monday in Walsburg Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the First Lutheran Church or Arthritis Foundation in care 0f Cowan-Edwards-Yorgenson Funeral Home.
