Obituary- Herrick, Lester

Lester Lynn Herrick Sr.
ESKRIDGE — Lester Lynn Herrick Sr., 52, Eskridge, died Thursday, Nov. 12, at his home.

Mr. Herrick worked for May, RanŽsom and Sheetz Construction in Topeka. He was an Army veteran.

He was born June 12, 1940, at Allen, the son of Frank and Zlenna Love Herrick. He grew up in the Eskridge community and spent most of his life in Eskridge.

Mr. Herrick was a member of the United Methodist Church in Eskridge and Teamsters Union, Local No. 696 and Disabled American Veterans chapter, both in Topeka.

He was married to Linda Masters on Oct. 4, 1962, in Topeka. She survives.

Other survivors include two daughters, Becky Zeller, Eskridge, and Lynn Mitchell, Auburn; two sons, Lester Herrick Jr., Manhattan, and Jason Herrick, Eskridge; three sisters, Bernil Colglazier, Pueblo, Colo., Ila Whitlock. Rossville, and Ione Hubert, Auburn; tour brothers, Dale Herrick, Bob Herrick, Gary Herrick and Harold Herrick, all of Topeka; and six grandchildren.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday in the United Methodist Church in Eskridge. Burial will be in Eskridge Cemetery. Mr. Herrick will lie in state from 3 to 7:30 p.m. Sunday at Crable Funeral Chapel in Eskridge. Memorial contributions may be made to American Heart Association.
