Stella Herrington

Mrs. Stella O. Herrington, 68, Silver Lake, died Sunday in a Topeka hospital where she was readmitted Saturday. She had cancer and had been ill since April 1971.

She was born June 24, 1904, at Delia and spent most of her life in the Silver Lake community. She formerly was a telephone operator at Silver Lake.

She was a member of the United Methodist Church at Silver Lake and was a past president of the Women's Society of Christian Service.

She was married to Harold Herrington March 4, 1936. He survives. Other survivors include a son, Harry Herrington, Silver Lake, three sisters, Ina Thompson and Mrs. Emma Bowers, both of Silver Lake, and Mrs. Christina Bowers, Delia; and five grandchildren.

Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at the United Methodist Church at Silver Lake. Burial will be in the Silver Lake Cemetery. Davidson-Duff Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
