Obituary- Kassebaum, Henry

H.A. KASSEBAUM DEAD
H. A. Kassebaum died last Monday evening at the home of his son, Ben Kassebaum, in Pittsburg, Kansas. The remains were brought to Rossville last night and the funeral was held at the Presbyterian church today at 2:30 and interment made in the Rossville cemetery. Out of respect to the deceased who was a silent partner of the Rossville Clothing Co., all the business houses of Rossville closed at 2:30 until the funeral procession had left for the cemetery.

Mr. Kassebaum has been in poor health for many months and the end was not entirely unexpected by the family and the close friends who knew his condition. He was one of the early day settlers of this township and the funeral was largely attended by many old friends and acquaintances from many parts of the county.

Mr. Kassebaum is survived by his widow, and four sons, Gus of this township, Edward of Silver Lake township, Ben of Pittsburg, Kansas, and William of San Pedro, Calif., and two daughters, Mrs. S. J. Oliver, of Mabton, Wash., and Miss Emma of Seattle, Wash. Mrs. Oliver, Miss Emma and Will were unable to attend the funeral.

The Reporter will print a fuller history of Mr. Kassebaum next week in the obituary notice.
