Obituary- Beal, Frank
FRANK BEAL
Frank Beal was found dead in bed at his little home west of the creek last Thursday night about 9 o’clock having been missed by his friends, when he failed to make his daily visit to the business section. Sherman James and Grover Kesler found him in his bed after gaining entrance, to the house.
The coroner was notified and after examination decided Mr. Beal had died sometime Wednesday night. Mr. Beal had been bothered with a bad heart, it was learned, following is death, and had been given medi¬cine by his physician for this ailment
Franklin Butler Beal, was the son of Samuel and Elizabeth Beal. He was born near Bushnell, Illinois, Dec. 26, 1862. At the date of his death Dec. 7, he had reached the age of nearly 70 years.
At the age of 4 years he came to Rossville, with his parents and grew to manhood in this vicinity. The Beal family was one of the pioneer families of Rossville; at the time they came, only two other families lived here.
Rossville was then called Cross Creek station. For 65 years he has lived here a very modest, quiet life. His acquaintances became his friends.
He leaves to mourn his departure, one sister, Mrs. Anna Cox of Read¬ing, Kan.; one brother, John of Weiser, Idaho; two nephews Henry Zickefoose of Stapleton, Nebraska, and Frank Zickefoose of this com¬munity as well as many other nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Funeral services were held Sun¬day afternoon at the Christian church conducted by the Pastor, C K. Thomas. Music was furnished by Mrs. Ruth Hesse, Mrs. Mildred Berry Mrs. Peter Navarre, Miss Grace Sanders with Miss Kathleen Pelfrey piano accompanist.
The pallbearers were C. E. Cless, G. Griswold, Londa Cottle, John Kesler, Sherman James and Peter Navarre.
Burial was in Rossville cemetery.
Frederic Zickefoose was home from K. S. C. over the week-end vis¬iting his parents. Mr. and Mrs. F. E. Zickefoose and to attend the fun¬eral of his great-uncle, Frank Beal.
