Laura M. Kimbal
Laura Marie Kimbal, 68, Lawrence, died Saturday, February 8, 1997, at the Stormont-Vail Regional Health Center in Topeka.

She was born August 31,1928, in Topeka, the daughter of Harvey T. and Mary Lucile Bahnmaier Wulfkuhle.

She had worked for the Kansas Department of Revenue from January 1981 to 1995, and for the Kansas Department of Transportation from 1985 until retiring in June 1990. She was a member of Stull United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women, and Indian Creek Grange. She had lived in Big Springs for six years, Topeka for 33 years, Delia for seven years, Soldier for 14 years, and Topeka for two years before she moved to Lawrence in 1989.

She was married to Warren Preston Kimbal on April 4, 1948, in Topeka. He died June 5, 1987.
A daughter, Penny Sheryl Kimbal, died shortly after birth in 1965.

Surviving her are a son, David Warren Kimbal, Rincon, GA; two daughters, Jeanette Marie Bowen, Soddy Daisy, TN, and Joyce Kathleen Aylesworth, Topeka; a brother, Duane Wulfkuhle, Topeka; two sisters, Lois D., Lister ; and Annette Payne, both of Topeka; nine grandchildren, six great- grandchildren; and a companion, Robert Wulfkuhle, Lawrence.

She will lie in state after 10:00
Tuesday (this morning) at the Parker-Price Mortuary in Topeka, where the family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Her service is at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the mortuary; interment is in Rochester Cemetery, Topeka.
