Obituary- Koci, Richard

Richard H.Koci
Richard H. Koci, 61, 3739 S.W. Plaza Drive, died Wednesday at a Topeka hospital.
He was born June 19, 1919, at Au¬burn, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Koci.
Mr. Koci was a Navy Veteran of World War II and was on submarine duty for several years before he re¬tired. He later spent 10 years with the Postal Service at Shawnee Mission.
Survivors include a stepdaughter, Lala Rowland, Dallas, Texas; two step¬sons, Gary DeMasters, Maypearl, Tex¬as, and Jimmie DeMasters, Spring Hill; his mother, Mrs. Rose Kovar Koci, 3732 S.W. Plaza Drive; three sis¬ters, Mrs. Viola Layman, Topeka, Mrs. Nina Wehner, Eudora, and Mrs. Gladys Smith, Oklahoma City; and two brothers, Irvin Koci, Dallas, and Clyde Koci, 3525 Brendan.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Leavenworth National Cemetery. Mr. Koci will lie in state from 9 a.m. Friday until 9 p.m. Sunday at Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home.
