Obituary- Kovar, Carrie 2

CARRIE KOVAR
Mrs. Carrie Cerny Kovar, 82, Rossville, died late Friday, February 6, 1987, at a Rossville nursing home.

She was born January 16, 1905, on a farm north of Rossville in Jackson County, a daughter of Thomas and Catherine Slansky Cerny. She spent all her life in the Rossville and Delia communities.

Mrs. Kovar was a member of the Presbyterian Church, Z.C.B.J. Moravan Lodge No. 128 more than 50 years, Golden Agers Club and a charter member of the Countryside Club, all at Rossville.

She was married to Emial Kovar August 4, 1926, at her parents’ home northeast of Rossville. He survives.

Other, survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Dorothy Davis, Willard; a sister, Mrs. Helen Wickham, Seattle, Wash.; two grandchildren, and three great¬grandchildren.

Services were at 2 p.m. Monday at Rossville Presbyterian Church. Burial was in Rossville Cemetery. The family met with friends from 7 until 8 p.m. Sunday evening at the Verschelden Funeral Home in St. Marys. Casket bearers were Ben Stach, John Davis, Leo Badura, Delbert Faulk, John Fauerbach, and S. M. Thompson. Honorary casket bearers were James Rezac, Marvin Davis, and Bennie Martinek.

Memorial contributions may be made to Rossville Presbyterian Church of Z.C.B.J. Moravan Lodge No. 128.
