Obituary- Bahner, Jeffro 2
Jeffro Bahner
Services will be at 2 p.m Thursday at the United Meth¬odist Church at Silver Lake t for Jeffro Bahner, 52, rural Sil¬ver Lake, who died Tuesday in a Topeka hospital where he was readmitted March 19. He had cancer.
He was born Dec. 26, 1918, north of Silver Lake and spent his life in the Delia and Silver Lake communities. He was a Jackson County commissioner. He also was active in 4-H Club work and was a Shawnee County representative on the 4-H Fair Board. He was a farmer.
Mr. Bahner was a member of the United Methodist Church and Loyal Chapter No. 176, Or¬der of Eastern Star, both at Silver Lake, Delia Lodge No. 419; AF&AM, and the Lions Club, both at Delia, Moose Lodge No. 555 in Topeka, and Harvest Grange in the Grove com¬munity.
He was married to the former Ora Lou Cantrell. She survives.
Other survivors include two sons, Jerrol P. Bahner, 226 N.E. 58th, and Kerry L. Bahner, Sil¬ver Lake; two brothers, Milton Bahner, Rossville, and Harvey Bahner, Route 7; four sisters, Mrs. Julia Brees, Emmett, Mrs. 'Christine Zickefoose, and Mrs. Elsie Rasch, both of Rossville, and Mrs. Lorraine Billingsley, 1708 E. 31st; and a grand¬daughter.
Delia Lodge No. 419, AF&AM, will conduct graveside services at Walnut Hill Cemetery north of Silver Lake. Memorial con-tributions may be made to the American Cancer Society. Mr. Bahner will lie in state until noon Thursday at Parker Mor¬tuary.

The Jackson county court house will be closed Thursday to honor the memory of Mr. Bahner.
