Obituary- Kovar, Henry 2

Henry H. Kovar
Henry Homer Kovar, 83, Overland Park, died Wednesday, June 11,1997, at the Indian Creek Nursing Center in Overland Park.

He was born June 21, 1913, in Delia, the son of Paul and Frances Kovarik Kovar. He had lived in Rossville, Chicago, Topeka, Wenatchee, WA, and Overland Park.

Mr. Kovar served in the U.S. Army in the South Pacific during World War II. He was a 50-year member of the Masonic Lodge; a 50-year member of the ZCBJ Lodge at Rossville; and a member of the Rolling Hills Presbyterian Church at Overland Park.

He retired from the U.S. Postal Service with a Superior Accom-plishment Award being presented to him at his retirement.

He was married to Jarmilla Mitcha on May 30, 1946, at Topeka. She died October 25, 1996. He was also preceded in death by four sisters and four brothers.

Surviving him is one brother, Emial Kovar, Rossville.

The family received friends from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday at Parker-Price Mortuary, Topeka. His service was at 10:00 Friday morning at the mortuary. Interment was in Prairie Home Cemetery, Topeka.
