Mrs. Agnes S. Kozak
OSAGE CITY — Mrs. Agnes S. Kozak, 87, Osage City, died Saturday at an Osage City nursing home.

She was born Dec. 29, 1894, at Delia, the daughter of Vincent and Agnes Simecka Martinek. She spent most of her life in Shawnee County until she moved to Osage City in 1958.

Mrs. Kozak was a security guard and judge of horticulture exhibits at Shawnee County Fairgrounds for 36 years before she retired.

She was a charter member of Grove Farm Bureau and was a 4-H leader at Grove for several years. She also was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church at Osage City.

She married William Kozak Jan. 25, 1915, at Delia. He died Aug. 11,1964.

Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Grace Kozak Frese, Hudson, Mich.; two sisters, Mrs. Helen Macha, Council Grove, and Mrs. Mae Brown, Kansas City, Mo.; four brothers, Albert Martinek, Emil Martinek, Henry Martinek and Bennie Martinek, all of Rossville; four grandchildren; and two stepgrand- children.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9 a.m. Tuesday at St, Patrick’s Catholic Church, Osage City. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Topeka. Parish rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Monday at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church. Memorial contributions may be made to the church in care of Crable Funeral Chapel.

She was born December 29, 1894, at Delia, the daughter of Vincent and Agnes Simecka Martinek. She spent most of her life in Shawnee County until she moved to Osage City in 1958.
