Obituary- Kratina, Frank 2
Frank Edward Kratina
Frank Edward Kratina, 87, formerly of 1942 N. Quincy, died Thursday at a Topeka hospital after an extended illness.
He was born September 3,1892, near Rossville, the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Kratina.
Mr. Kratina farmed near Rossville until the mid-1940s when he moved to Chicago. He retired and returned to Topeka in 1967.
He was charter and 50-year member of Delia Lodge No. 419, AF&AM and 50-year member of ZCBJ Moravian Lodge No. 128.
He was married to Pauline Mitcha. She preceded him in death in August, 1975.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Nadine Mitchell, Delia; a son, Ernest Kratina, Topeka; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Jarmilla Kovar, Overland Park; a stepson John Mitcha, Overland Park; a sister, Mrs. Tressie Uhl, Grantville; 12 grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 1:30pm Monday at Parker-Price Mortuary. Burial will be in Prairie Home Cemetery, west of Topeka. Mr. Kratina will lie in state until service time at the mortuary.
Kratina, Frank E. – age 87, formerly of 1942 N. Quincy, passed away January 31, 1980. Services 1:30pm Monday Parker Price Chapel, Masonic services will be conducted by Delia Lodge No. 419 AF&AM. Interment Prairie Home Cemetery.
