Obituary- MacPherson, Clarence
Clarence Miller McPherson, 79, 1433 Indian Trail, died Saturday in a Topeka hospital where he had been a patient since March 8. He underwent abdominal surgery March 26 and later apparently developed a pulmonary embolus and a heart ailment.
He was born Aug. 10, 1891, at Rossville and had lived in Topeka 50 years, moving here from Rossville.
Mr. McPherson was a real estate developer and owned and operated his own agency in Topeka. He also had been an automobile dealer and general contractor.
He was a 50-year member of Hesperian Lodge No. 111 AF&AM at Rossville. He was a member of the Presbyterian Church.
He was married to Gladys H. Evans on Nov. 19, 1940 at Howard. She survives at home.
A son, Clark H. McPherson, preceded him in death.
Survivors include two sons, Michael Evan McPherson, 5235 W. 20th Ter., and Bruce Miller McPherson, at home; two daughters Mrs. Sandy Morrison, Wichita, and Mrs.Phyllis Spencer, San Angelo, Tex.; a sister, Mrs. Helen Perkins,Dodge City, and six grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 am Tuesday at Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home. Burial will be in Rossville Cemetery.
