Obituary- MacPherson, Minnie 1

Mrs. Minnie McPherson LAID TO REST HERE
Mrs. Minnie S. McPherson, passed away at 3:15 last Saturday morning July 19, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. H.M. Skaggs, in Dodge City, Kansas. Her death followed a paralytic stroke she suffered May 13, which confined her to her bed until death came.
All her children were with her at the end.
The body arrived in Topeka early Monday morning and was brought immediately to Rossville where it lay in state from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the home of her son, Mr. C.M. McPherson.
The funeral services was conducted by the Rev. S.B. Alderson, of Topeka, at the McPherson home. Music was furnished by Dr. N.S. Clothier, of St. Marys, Mrs. A.H. Daw and Miss Leona Griswold. Messrs. I.T. Hopkins, T.P. Oliver, A.A. Cless, J.F. Zook, W.D. Pendleton and J.B. Davis served as pallbearers. Interment was made in the family lot in Rossville cemetery beside her husband who passed away November 28, 1912.
The funeral was largely attended by sorrowing friends of the deceased lady, who had been a resident of Rossville for over thirty years prior to her removal to Dodge City two years ago to make her home with her daughters, Mrs. Skaggs and Mrs. Perkins.
Mrs. McPherson was born in Alliance, Ohio, July 28, 1865, and on the date of her death lacked eight days of reaching her 59th birthday anniversary. She came to Topeka with her parents, the late Mr. and Mrs. Bradford Miller, in 1869 at the age of four and made her home there until her marriage July 26, 1884, to C.C. McPherson. Four children were born to this union, a daughter dying in infancy. The three children who survive are Mr. C.M. McPherson, of Rossville, Mrs. H.M. Skaggs and Mrs. S.N. Perkins, of Dodge City, Kansas. There are also two sisters and two brothers, Mrs. J.R. Wilt, Topeka: Mrs. A.T. Lucas, Los Angeles, Calif.; Mr. H.O. Miller, Tulsa, Okla.; Mr. Harry B. Miller, Oklahoma City; and four grand-children
Mrs. McPherson was a member of the Presbyterian church and of the S.B.A., Eastern star and Royal Neighbors.
The out-of-town relatives and friends present for the funeral were: Mr. and Mrs. J.R. Wilt, Mrs. G.L. Rockhill, Mrs. Frank Summers, Mr. and Mrs. Will Summers, Dr. and Mrs. Lewis, Dr. E.E. Welch, Mr. and Mrs. S.J. Hodgins, Mr. and Mrs. T.P. Oliver, of Topeka; Mr. H.O. Miller, Tulsa, Okla; Mr. H.G. McPhe¬son, Maple Hill; Mrs. Charles Howerton, Mr. and Mrs. A. Thomas, of Silver Lake.
