Lowell E. Manis
Lowell E. Manis, 60,11144 S.W. 89th, died today at a local hospital.

He was born Feb. 25,1920, at Soldier, the son of Everett and Lena Manis. He had lived most of his life at Topeka.

He was married March 6, 1943, at Blackstone, Va., to Bessie Lister, who survives at home.

Mr. Manis was a truck driver and construction worker. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, World War II.

Survivors include two sons, Leslie Manis, Ottawa, and Steven Manis, Topeka; two daughters, Mrs. Connie Eddy, Maple Hill, and Mrs. Brenda Atwood, Auburn; five brothers, Leo Manis, Harold Manis, Wayne Manis, Melvin Manis, all at Topeka, and Marvin Manis, Meriden; two sisters, Mrs. Ruby Heston, Topeka, and Mrs. Stella Simecka, St. Marys; and seven grandchildren.

Cremation is planned. Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Parker-Price Mortuary.
