Obituary- Martin, Florence

Florence Martin
Florence Martin, 74, Topeka, died Thursday, Dec 25, 2003, at her home.
She was born Sept. 22, 1929, in St. Clare, the daughter of Lawrence and Alma Troughton Ketter. She graduated from Rossville High School in 1947.
On Sept. 4, 1950, she married Raymond Martin in St. Stanislaus Church, Rossville.
Mrs. Martin was a member of Most Pure Heart of Mary Church. She was a devoted mother of five children and grandmother of six.
Survivors include her husband, Raymond Martin; children, Sharon Martin, Loretta and Kenton Sickmann, Theresa and Dominic Adame, Philip and Linda Martin, and Lawrence and Kim Martin, all of Topeka; brothers, Lawrence Ketter and Melvin Ketter, Topeka; grandchildren, Rachel and Lisa Adame, Lauren Martin, and Luke, Reily, and Jayde Martin.
Mrs. Martin was preceded in death by her parents and a sister Mary Lou DeBacker.
Mrs. Martin will lie in state after 4 p.m. Monday at Kevin Brennan Family Funeral Home, where family visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. and a parish rosary will be recited at 6:30 p.m. Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Most Pure Heart of Mary Catholic Church. Burial will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery.
The family suggests memorial contributions to the Most Pure Heart of Mary School Building Fund, 1750 S.W. Stone, Topeka, 66604.
