Emil E. Martinek

Emil E. Martinek, 90, Rossville, died Wednesday, October 9, 1991, at a Topeka convalescent center.

Mr. Martinek was a retired farmer and had lived on the farm where he was born until 1984, when he moved into Rossville.

He was born February 26, 1901, on a farm northeast of Rossville, the son of Vincent and Agnes Simecka Martinek.

Mr. Martinek was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Delia and an honorary member of Knights of Columbus Council No. 657 in St. Marys.

He was married to Ellen Davidson in 1954 in Delia. She died April 13, 1987.

Survivors include a stepdaughter, Doris Keith, Blue Springs, Mo.; two sisters, Mae Brown, Kansas City, Mo., and Helen Macha, Rossville; two brothers, Henry Martinek and Bennie Martinek, both of Rossville; and two stepgrandchildren.

Mass of Christian Burial was at 10 a.m. Friday in St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Rossville. Burial was in Mount Calvary Cemetery at St. Marys. Memorial Contributions may be made to St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Rossville.
