Obituary- Matyak, Frank 2

Frank Matyak
Regretfully I report the death of Bro. Frank Matyak, 78, who passed away Oct. 6, 1966 at his home near Rossville, Kans. Born Mar. 31, 1888 at Pozdechov in Moravia, Czechoslovakia, he came to Rossville in 1901. He was the son of Joseph and Anna Matyak. On Nov. 17, 1914 he was united in marriage to Frances Kovar and they celebrated their golden wedding anniversary on Nov. 17, 1964. Bro. Matyak was recording sec’y of our Lodge for 25 years and received his 50 year membership pin in March, 1965. He was a member of the Delia Presbyterian Church and Lodge No. 419, A.F.&A.M. Funeral services were held Oct. 8th at the Delia Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Don Sears officiating. Interment was in the Moravian Cemetery. His wife preceded him in death on July 2, 1965. Surviving him is a foster son, Wonnie Graves of the U.S. Navy; a half-brother, John Emert of Omaha, Nebr. and several nieces and nephews. W.B.F.A. Lodge Moravan No. 128, Rossville, Kans. extends deepest sympathy to the bereaved family and may our departed brother have eternal rest.

Frank Matyak
DELIA – Services for Frank Matyak, 78, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Delia Presbyterian Church with burial in Moravian Cemetery near Delia. He died early Thursday at his rural Rossville home.

A retired farmer, he was born March 31, 1888 at Pozdechov, Moravia, Czechoslovakia. He came to Shawnee County in 1901.

Mr. Matyak was a member of Delia Presbyterian Church, Delia Lodge No. 419, AF&AM, and ZCHJ [sic ZCBJ] Lodge No. 128 at Rossville.

Surviving is a half-brother, John Emert, Omaha, Neb.

Delia Lodge No. 419, AF&AM, will conduct graveside rites. Parker Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
