Mrs. Ethel Kerr
ROSSVILLE — Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Presbyterian Church here for Mrs. Ethel R. Kerr, 84, Rossville, who died Sunday in the Presbyterian Manor at Kansas City, Kan., where she had been since Dec. 30.

She was born April 22, 1891, at Rossville, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Reid, and lived in the Rossville community many years. She was a member of the Presbyterian Church at Rossville.

She was graduated from Baker University at Baldwin. She formerly was a housemother at Colorado Women’s College at Denver and later was a housemother at Sellards Hall at the University of Kansas.

She was married April 21, 1915, to William H. Kerr. He died June 30,1951.

Survivors include a son, Glenn W. Kerr, Mission; a brother, Homer S. Reid, Rossville; and three grandchildren.

Burial will be in Rossville Cemetery. Mrs. Kerr will lie in state from 9 a.m. Tuesday until noon Wednesday at Pen well-Gabel Funeral Home where relatives and friends will meet from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday. Memorial contributions may be made to the Presbyterian Church at Rossville.

KANSAS CITY, KAN.-Mrs. Ethel R. Kerr, 84, died Sunday in the Presbyterian Manor here where she had been a resident since Dec. 30, 1974. She
formerly lived in Rossville.

She was born April 22, 1891. She was graduated from Baker University and was a housemother at Colorado Women’s college in Denver and at the University of Kansas.

She was a member of Rossville Presbyterian Church. She was married April 21, 1915 to William H. Kerr. He preceded her in death June 30,1951.

Survivors include a son, Glenn W. Kerr, Mission; a brother Homer S. Reed, Rossville, and three grandchildren.

Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at Rossville Presbyterian Church. Burial will be in Rossville Cemetery.

Mrs. Kerr will lie in state from 9 a.m. Tuesday until noon Wednesday at Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 until 8:30 p.m. Tuesday.
