Donald Bixby
Donald Bixby, 80, Rossville, passed away on Tuesday morning, May 20th, 2008. He was born Aug. 12, 1927 at Rossville, the son of Charles and Hattie Denton Bixby. Donald graduated from Ross¬ville High School in 1945. He worked at Wehner Grocery Ross¬ville, Rossville Dehydrating Plant and he retired from McCrite Plaza in Topeka as maintenance supervisor. After he retired he volunteered many hours at the Rossville Senior Citizen Center. Donald was a member of the Citizen Band of the Pottawatomie Nation.
He is survived by his nieces and nephews including, Grace Degand and Alva Busey and numerous great-nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and fourteen brothers and sisters.
Graveside services will be 11:00 am on Friday, May 23, 2008 at Rossville Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7-8 Thursday evening at Davidson Funeral Home in Topeka.
