Sam McAdams Dead
It was with sadness and regret his old friends in this community learned Tuesday of the death of S.C. McAdams, of Minco, Oklahoma.

Mr. McAdams, according to the few details learned, died last Saturday morning at 3:30 o'clock and was buried Monday.

He had had a sick spell with Flu and passed away from a resulting heart attack.

Sam was raised in his community and his old boyhood friends are saddened at his death. His wife was formerly Ida White, of this community, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J.E. White.

S.C. McAdams
Samuel Coleman McAdams was born in Washington, Indiana, December 25, 1968. His parents moved to Kansas in 1869 and settled on a farm near Topeka, purchased from the father of Vice-president Charles Curtis. In 1872 his father died, leaving a widow and five children in pioneer days of Kansas. Mr. McAdams was educated in the Kansas State University and Agricultural college. He engaged in farming at Rossville, Kansas, and later was employed in the banking business in Topeka.

On March 22, 1907, he was married to Miss Ida White of Rossville, and the following fall moved to Walters, Okla., where he was also engaged in banking. In 1917, he came to Minco, where he took charge of the Citizens State bank and was later appointed postmaster.

Mr. McAdams died April 20, 1929. Those surviving him are his wife, Mrs. Ida McAdams and three children, Margie, Samuel and James, a sister and brother, Mrs. E.G. Jamieson, Moline, Illinois, and E.M. McAdams, Joplin, Missouri. Mr. McAdams was a kind and loving husband and father and a patriotic citizen.

Mr. and Mrs. E.G. Jamieson of Moline, Ill., who were called to Minco, Okla., recently by the death of her brother, Sam McAdams, are here for a visit among their relatives, the Jamieson boys, following a week's stay at Asher, Okla., with the Ferg Jamieson family. Mr. Jamieson came up from Topeka Wednesday and Mrs. Jamieson stopped off for a visit in Topeka among relatives and friends.
