Death of Goldie (Mowers)
McCardle
It was with a shock the news was received Monday that Mrs. Goldie McCardle had died suddenly while in a physicians office at Topeka where she had gone to have an operation performed, Mrs. McCardle was well known to the people of Rossville, having worked hero for several years as central at the telephone exchange Mrs. McCardle has not been well for some time anti was being treated by a Topeka physician. It. was decided that she would have to be operated upon and it was while having an anaesthetic administered that she passed away without a warning.

Mrs. McCardle was 27 years old and is survived by her husband, Floyd McCardle and one child and her father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Mowers, of Silver Lake. Interment was made in the Silver Lake cemetery.
