Obituary- McClain, Eva 1





Mrs. McClain dies Tuesday at home
Mrs. Eva McClain, 79, a resident of Rossville since 1923, was found dead at her home Tuesday morning. Death was due to natural causes.

Born at Elk Fork, Ky., Apr. 25, 1891, Mrs. McClain had
lived in Rossville for 47 years.

She was married to Roy McClain in Kentucky. Mr. McClain died in 1969.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday in Rossville Christian Church with interment in Rossville Cemetery by the Verschelden Funeral Home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Rossville Christian Church.

Survivors include three sons: Vencille McClain, Ashton, Ill.; Thornton McClain, Rossville; Luther McClain, Rossville;

Four daughters: Mrs. Letha Reser, Rossville; Mrs. Mazie Gooderl, Hoyt; Mrs. Nancy Preble, Rossville; Mrs. Barbara Casto, Sarasota Calif.;

A brother: Eulous Trimble, Ashland, Ky.; and a sister: Mrs. Jennie Caskey, Lenox, Kentucky; 21 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Mrs. McClain was a member of the Rossville Christian Church and a graduate of the Menninger Bible course.

Mrs. Eva McClain
Rossville – Mrs. Eva McClain, 79, Rossville, died at her home Tuesday.

She was born April 25,1891, at
Elk Fork, Kentucky. She had lived in Rossville since 1923. She was married to Roy McClain in 1910 in Kentucky.

She was a member of Rossville Christian Church and a graduate of the Menninger Bible School. She was preceeded in death by three children.

Survivors include three sons, Vencille McClain, Ashton, Ill., and Thorton McClain and Luther McClain, both of Rossville; four daughters, Mrs. Letha Reser and Mrs. Nancy Preble, both of Rossville, Mrs. Mazie Gooderl, Hoyt, and Mrs. Barbara Casto, Sarasota, Calif.; 21 grandchil¬dren and seven great- grandchildren; one brother, Eulous Trimble, Ashland, Kentucky, and one sister, Mrs. Jennie Caskey, Lenox, Kentucky.

Services will be 2 p.m. Friday at Rossville Christian Church. Burial will be in Rossville Cemetery. She will lie in state at Verschelden Funeral Home, St. Marys, from 9 a.m. Thursday to 11 a.m. Friday. A memorial fund has been established in Mrs. McClain’s name at Rossville Christian Church.
