Obituary- McConnell, Carl

Carl Lester McConnell
Carl Lester McConnell, 75, Topeka, died Friday, Aug. 4, 1995, at a Topeka nursing home.

Mr. McConnell worked for the Rehabilitation Center for the Blind for 30 years before he retired because of failing health.

He was born Aug. 30, 1919, at Rossville. He was reared by his grandparents, George and Minnie McConnell. He attended school in Topeka.

Mr. McConnell was a member of the Eagle Lodge and the Seaman Baptist Church.

Survivors include an aunt, Doris Kietzman, Topeka; and several nieces and nephews.

Mr. McConnell was cremated. Inurnment at Memorial Park Cemetery will be private. Penwell-Gabel Funeral Directors is in charge of arrangements.
