Obituary- McGrew, William E. 1
Bill McGrew is buried at Rossville
Graveside services for William E. McGrew, Bucklin, were Monday afternoon in Rossville Cemetery. He was found dead late Thursday west of Kingsdown. The 60-year-old Rock Island Railway signalman suffered a heart attack after he had repaired a railway signal. He then feel into a fire and was burned.
Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Pearl McGrew; a son Howard Wayne McGrew, Lansing, Ill.; three brothers, George McGrew, Hays, Harry McGrew, Portland, Ore.; and Chester McGrew, Topeka; two sister, Mrs. Margaret Stehlin, Topeka, and Mrs. Daisy Lloyd, Burlingame; and two grandchildren.
Relatives and friends attending the graveside services were Mrs. Pearl McGrew of Bucklin, Mr. and Mrs. H.W. McGrew, Marty and March of Lansing, Ill., Mr. George McGrew and family, Hays, Mrs. Margaret Stehlin of Topeka, Mrs. Clyde Lloyd and family, Burlingame, Mrs. Walter Admussen, Topeka, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Admussen, of Lawrence, Mrs. J.F. Startup, Portage, Ind., Mr. and Mrs. Joe Viergever, Willard, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Brooks and Linda of Hammond, Ind., Mr. Warren Brooks, Brooklyn, New York, Mrs. C.H. Joye of Hammond, Ind., Mrs. Robert Viergever, Willard, Mrs. Charles Curry of Crown Point, Ind., Mr. and Mrs. Max Viergever, Topeka, Mrs. Robert Taylor of Hammond, Ind., Mr. Robert Howe, Manhattan, Mr. Chas.
